In late autumn, with the advent of cold weather, these guests arrive from the northern forests. They fly in large noisy flocks through forests, parks, and even in winter they can often be seen in city yards.
During this difficult period, they feed on berries, mainly mountain ash, which grows everywhere (including the streets), as well as viburnum in the forests. They swallow berries whole, very voracious.
With the advent of spring, they fly back to the north. And during this period, pairs can already form in flocks. And due to the fact that birds eat almost all the berries during the winter, tree buds are added to their diet.
