Code.org is an amazing site for teaching people of all ages. I've taught kids as young as 4 to adults who have never tried to code before. In their own words:

They advocate for their "hour of code" which promotes hour-long lessons teaching coding to people who might have never been exposed to coding previously. These lessons are available year round and have fun themes like Minecraft, Star Wars or Frozen which are great for grabbing kid's interests. They also support users making their own games and sharing them online.
I would definitely recommend this site as a first stop to getting a new person excited about programming.
