WHAT IS IT?
I did some fan fiction, doing my best to not only create a card but then add value to it by incorporating her into the Lands.
The card is a compilation of images that I combined using photoshop. There are 9 images in total (not including the outside of the card).
WHAT DID I DO?
I was inspired by the Halloween season, looked to some nostalgia to help bring forth some ideas. I went with a blend of Buffy and Brittany.
this a Frankenstein of pics put together in whatIwishIcould draw (to be honest a view from a vampire looking upright as the stake is coming down was what my mind saw) but since I can't draw we’re all stuck with this.
I gathered a few images of what I thought I saw in my mind: different poses, some headshots of Sarah Michelle Gellar, a stake, a couple of backgrounds, and 2 outfit ideas
the 3 things that took the most time were:
- Finding a background that was descriptive, what I saw in my mind, & simple
- Coming up with a name that was catchy and not too obvious
- Blending the shirts together (3 in total)
I cut everything out and blended them as best as I could within my time frames (more on that in the next section)
To make her look more natural or actually in the background, I did a curves adjustment, added some of the filters for the cartoon look (oil & smart blur), I added a filter (oil) to the background, then did a little burning to make her shadows look better and give her a little candle lighting.
I punched out the middle of one of the untamed cards, added the attributes and abilities from other cards, & created the name on a font site.
WHAT DID I LEARN?
Planning to do the challenge allowed me to space out the time I put into it so when working on it day after day I had fresh eyes and time to look up different ways or ideas to incorporate into the creation. By doing so I noticed 2 things:
- I can't draw at all, BUT I am open to getting better.
- By using the 70% rule made this process a lot more bearable (not allowing yourself to go 100% in to reduce your chances of procrastination brought about by trying to be perfect)

In the day she’s a volunteer and understudy at the Peacebringer’s camp, by night she’s a different kind of “peace bringer”.
Her life changed on her 16th birthday as she received a mysterious gift left in her barracks. It was an old book full of notes in many different handwritings.
As a child, she hoped to become skilled in the art of astral travel and join the Peace of Light Monastery, but there seems to be a bit less tolerance towards women of power as she was told growing. These days the monastery is becoming more and more political and less open to none male leadership.
It appears as if her destiny has changed in way of reviving her gift. The notebook that has been passed around the lands collecting vast intelligence that deciphers the ways of The Dark Codex in order to help put an end to the struggle the Khymians face against those from the land of Mortis.
She senses secrecy, possible manipulation, & even corruption that could be behind those who now upload the higher levels of the Order of the Silver Shield. Could this be the reason why she was given the book?
When her daily duties are complete and day enters dusk, she joins her best friends. An Elven Mystic who uses her power to assist Celeste in her quest of cleansing the land of Khymeria from evil, and a never too far behind Magi, that seems to show up right when she is in need of life-saving reinforcements.
Those she encounters are often Khymians who want to receive the freedom and lavish lifestyles laid out by the promises of the Eternal Dark without giving up their human form, sovereignty as a Khymian, or become a Fledgling. This imbalance creates disruptions to their rituals and turns them into bastardized creatures of the Dark, forcing them into hiding during the day.
It was once myth that there were Morti who have silently rooted and remained dormant and underground since the days of the creation of the great helm of Azfaleia, prior to the great splintering wait to ooze out like vile one day and finish what they started. It is now proven to be fact as there as more and more horrid acts are being reported.
As they await the veil of night to cover the last leaks of light over the horizon they prepare for battle, as each enemy after the next gets stronger and the late actions of the Silver Shield seem to negate what is really the way of the Light.
This is the beginning of the epic journey of Celeste Styker, the Khymian that brings light into the dark.
