Placing the strings on an acoustic guitar can be a detailed process, but here I am going to explain a little step by step. 🎶 Please note that there are different methods and variations depending on individual preferences, but here is a common way to do it: First unroll each new string from the package carefully to avoid tangling. Strings are usually labeled with a number or letter to indicate their position. The thinnest string is generally the No. 1 or high E, while the thickest is the No. 6 or low E. Then start with the thickest string (low E) and thread the end into the corresponding opening in the bridge of the guitar. Pull the string through the hole until there is enough string to hold it securely. Thread the string through the nut at the top of the neck and then wrap it around the corresponding headstock. Make sure the string is properly seated in the nut slot and wrap the string around the headstock tightly to prevent loosening. Once all the strings are in place, begin adjusting the tension using the pegs. Turn the tuners clockwise to increase tension and tune the string. Use a tuner to make sure each string is tuned correctly. Once all the strings are in tune, cut off the excess string with pliers or wire cutters to prevent any sticking out.
