More than just another "explorer", this is an example of a fully functional Bitcoin Gold Insight and web application service that brings the Insight UI and Insight API. It runs on a full Bitcore Bitcoone Node and is hosted by Bitcoin Gold Organization. All right, let's start with what Explorer is! Explorer Blockchain is a website that lets you do the following:
View newly added blocks to the chain, when they're mined, etc.
Look for previous blocks that are mined to see what transactions are included in them.
Search transactions, to see how the amount is sent, and between what address.
Find the wallet address, to see what the balance is, and the transaction history to and from that address.
And generally explore your way around the blockchain.
That's the basic idea of Explorer ... But our new Explorer also does things that no one else has. For example, this shows incoming transactions that are not yet part of the block. For those who do not know, when new Bitcoin Gold transactions are sent to the network to be mined by miners, they are held in a transaction pool in memory (mempool) until the miners confirm them in the block. Confirmed transactions will not appear in a block for about ten minutes (on average), but new deals will appear within seconds just seconds after they are sent. This is a great way to make sure that the transactions you send actually reach the network ... or, if someone sends you a coin, how to make sure they have sent it!
