Step 1 - You hear about Bitcoin all over the place. People becoming millionaires overnight. You hear big bankers calling it a scam. You ignore it.
Step 2 - You hear your friends telling you that they bought Bitcoin. You start researching and find it intriguing. You feel it is not really a scam but a new thought. Perhaps it is worth trying out. But it is already so pricey. You can not afford it.
Step 3 - You learn that you can buy less than 1 full coin. And actually it is not even a coin. You open an account at Coinbase and wait for the idiots to approve your funds while bitcoin price is doubling in front of your eyes.
Step 4 - You learn from your friend that Gemini has an immediate $500 credit when you do an ACH. You jump on to it and buy 0.05 bitcoin and wire transfer more funds to be in a hurry.
Step 5 - You join meetups, online forums and other bitcoin and altcoin learning groups. You learn about Blockchain and Ethereum and now you are wondering how you got sucked into the world of crypto-assets. What about your 80-90% stock portfolio. You did not even have a look at it for last 7 days.
Step 6 - Need intervention so that you can get your life back and avoid looking at coinmarketcap.com every minute.
