Greetings friends and members of the community. In my work as a geoscientist I have the joy of visiting and exploring many natural sites of great interest and attraction, as part of the research tasks for the increase of knowledge of the natural environment and proposals for solutions to its main problems.
One of the sites I had the good fortune to visit recently was the famous Cueva de la Cerveza, located in the Natural Park "Escaleras de Jaruco". This is one of the numerous existing caves in this environment of limestone hills and mogotes, and a site of tourist attraction and suitable for recreation because of its natural beauty, and because it also has establishments for the dispensing of beer and has a statue of an aboriginal cacique with whom people take pictures.
From the natural point of view it is a cave that is believed to have been formed by processes of dissolution of the limestone by the action of the waters of an ancient lake environment, where the lateral flow of the waters of the lakes was modeling the rock and creating this peculiar shape of the landscape. It also has small speleothems in its interior. Undoubtedly a wonder of Cuban nature for the study of the natural environment and the enjoyment of its beauty.
