Her eyes twinkled in the dark, stars reflected in the pupils. Deep wells of molasses swallowing me up, thick treacle running down my throat, filling up my nostrils and plugging my ears. I heard just the slightest tremble of her moan in the hollow spaces inside me. I drowned in that sound, it's musical cadence flowing through me in a river of shivers as she sunk her teeth into my shoulder. The warm tide surged around my ankles as the wash of the sea crept up the beach. I ascended from the deeps of those wells, enlivened by ecstatic pain as she arched her back upwards, eyes closed, hands over her face. The moon hung low and heavy in the sky; I merged with her as the silvery light enveloped us and the sea whispered of endings.

The end.
