What do we do?
I can see how well some people are trying to promote Hive, Leothreads and all. I have seen so many people who delegate some Hive or Leo to new accounts so that they can perform actions on the platform just like someone did to me when I first joined the platform. I feel that is one of the best ways to motivate people to keep being active on the platform. I remember when I first joined, I had no Hive power so a very kind stranger delegated one Hive to my account. It was little but I appreciated it. With that, I was only able to make just one post in three or four days before I am able to make another post. Now, we want people to be active here. Let's even imagine that the people we invite do not have enough money to buy Hive, I think it will be kind enough for us to delegate some Hive power to their account for a short time till they are able to gather something on the platform. Well, this is not a must but I'm just bringing up some suggestions for people to be active on here.
Why am I saying this? We tend to see a lot of people who register newly on this platform and stop being active after a few days. It is majorly because they cannot perform actions on the blockchain. It is just like any other social network. Once you are unable to perform actions, you will get tired of it. I guess that is why a lot of people are complaining about Twitter these days because the number of posts that they can make on there has reduced. Well, if you cannot delegate Hive power to anyone who you invite to the platform, advise them to buy enough Hive power that will be enough for them to make posts daily.
Explanation is also something that is very important on here. When I joined Hive, apart from the fact that I was unable to perform so much actions, I did not know how the platform works. I was not really familiar with it. I then realized that the person who invited me did not make thorough explanations to me and the little ones he mad may not be enough. That is why this platform seem to be complex to so many people. If you are inviting someone to the platform, make sure that you give them the full explanation that a newbie needs and then he or she can later learn other things when he meets other people on the platform.
You know...it may be quite crazy when a newbie gets in here and does not get support from other people. The support may not only be from the person who invited you on here. It may be from anyone. Getting tipped by other people is enough to encourage new users to continue using the platform. When you make a post and you get upvoted, you will feel good and keep posting. I feel it is good to upvote new accounts. I don't have enough Hive power but I'm trying to support people with the little that I can. I urge people with higher Hive power to do this.
Also, engagement is one thing that makes you popular and even get more upvotes so it is advisable for new accounts to try to engage with other people instead of making posts and leaving the platform. Engage with other people, it is better that way.
