We can find boats almost all over the world. In different countries the shapes of the boats are quite different. They are the part of the tradition of that perticuler country.
In Bangladesh there are a special kind of boat. Its a heritage of our country. Its has a royal shape. It has a cover on the boat so I can get relief from rain or sunlight. Some aborigins of our country lives in this boat.So as its creative sunday so I have tried to make this with paper.
Here is the procedure:
I have taken a rectangular sheet of paper. One can use any kind of paper, but thinner paper works best. Because It folds easily.
- Then I have folded the paper in half lengthwise (like hotdog-style) and then unfold it.
Then folded each of the top corners down to meet the center crease. This will create a triangle shape at the top of the paper. This must be done carefully.
Folded the top edge of the paper down to the bottom edge and aligning the edge with the bottom of the triangle shape.
Folded the paper in half along the center crease you made in step 2. The triangle shape should now be on the outside of the fold.
Folded the corners of the paper up and outward along the creases shown in the diagram. This will create the sides of the boat.
Then I grasped the corners you just folded and gently pull them apart to open up the boat.
Then I gently press down on the bottom of the boat to create a flat bottom.
- Then pulled the part which is inside the boat. This must be done carefully.
And there is a Paltola Type Bangladeshi paper boat!
