Osun osogbo festival is a festival held by the Yorubas in Nigeria, which is usually celebrated in the 6th month of the Yoruba's calender(august, September)with 12 to 14days. Osun osogbo festival is an annual traditional event, which is done to honour the goddess of protection , fertility and prosperity.

The festival serves as a symbol of unity , it brings together
People from different part of the world, people with different cultural background,values and customs. The festival preserve the yoruba culture and legacy from the anicent to the new generations.

The devotees of osun osogbo will march to the river,singing and dancing and offer scarifies to Osun like foods and drinks .
They also cooking their indigenous foods for people to eat and drink. People dance and sing, when the traditional musicials sing , the festival is an interesting one.

Foreigns were usually attracted to the Osun shrine , their unique traditional architecture and cultural performance.
Yorubas are rich in different foods like amala and ewedu soup, egusi ,efo riro.

The event created many opportunities/benefits in different aspects , health, cultural,spirtual, economic and many more.
In the health aspect ,there are traditional medicine for sicknesses and healing process.
