What will you do if someone came to you and told you their secret?
Does someone's secret got you in trouble?
A secret has to be kept, to be unknown and not to be seen by others. It is like you are engaging on a confidential project that requires your full honesty and commitment. When a secret was exposed well it is not a secret anyomore.
So what will be the best way to keep a secret or do we have to keep it a secret when an urgency demands it?
Trust- Mostly, we share our secrets to those we trust and that was our best friends. Maybe some of you tell a secret on your siblings and some on their parents also. But let's be honest that we chose a person whom we tell our secrets that we knew they are worth to be trusted.
Also our secrets has different level of how it so serious to take and some are just a minor secrets. Sometimes we are the one who chose the secrets that we gonna tell depends on a person too. If your secret was just about your secret crush it might end up telling it to your best friend. Of course we cannot tell it without hesitating to our parents or else they will scold you for that.
Accountability- Once you agreed to keep someone's secret you are engaging yourself to be accountable to do anything not to tell it to anyone. Once the secret had been exposed you might caught you in trouble. So be sure that you knew that person that much.
Now if you knew yourself that you are that kind of person, well maybe you can keep a secret but if you knew yourself that loves to talk on other people's lives you can not be a good secret keeper. One of the reason some people got into trouble was because they often think that telling someone's secret was a good topic for conversation. That would spark gossips and most of the time that gossips would travel from other people and the true story get revised overtime.
Maybe you'd think that secrets are just simple words or story that someone told you not to tell to anyone, well it is not just as simple as that. Those people trusted you that's why they chose you. Aside from that we can also resist to accept that secret from the start especially if we knew that person was involved in some illegal transactions. This may cause you trouble in the future so avoid and choose wisely your companion.
In conclusion, we can categorize secrets if we take it in serious level or just a kid secret crushes. As we grew old and meet many people, we make friends and built trust on them. Building trust to trustworthy are important, are you that kind of person?
