Like always the Levant is famous with it’s delicious food, sweets and beverages, in every feast (Eid) there is special type of dessert just like now and one of the most famous ever, the stuffed cookies (with pistachios, dates and walnuts) or as known in the country Maamoul.
The Maamoul is typically made out of:
- semolina
- Flour
- Butter
- Icing sugar
- Baking powder
- Milk
- Blossom water
- Date paste
- Walnuts
- Pistachios
A combination that can amaze anyone who taste it, you can hardly find a family that doesn’t make or buy Maamoul in each occasion.
