Today I'm going to give you a brief tour of Magdeburg, especially the oldest part of the city.
That thing you see over there is a tram station. There you can see the winding layout of the tracks, people passing through the city, and look, we're in luck, the tram is coming!
Did you notice the contrast in the city's architecture? We see that beautiful modern building, and if you look around, we can see buildings from other eras.
For example, that church in the shade of the trees with its Baroque style—isn't it beautiful?
Now we're going to walk towards the Elbe River. Climbing those stairs through the trees, we reach the monument erected in honor of the famous German writers Goethe and Schiller.
Walk towards it to take a photo and see those old buildings of the city, perhaps from the medieval period, appear in the distance.d.
And finally, we arrive very close to the river. Look at those impressive walls! And at the end, we see an imposing tower that the guards of the time called "Kiek in de Köken" because they say the Archbishop's kitchen could be seen from it.
I think we've walked far enough today to get a first impression of the city and its main sites, although there's certainly much more to it than we saw today.
