I think you pose a very interesting question. Also, I believe there will not be only one winner. Each coin offers a slightly different form of privacy combined to a slightly different consensus mechanism.

If only it wasn't for the absurd high conversion fees... I don't know but these crypto-fueled creditcards need to start charging way less fees... 0.5% or so would be way more acceptable than the usual
