You may fight in the bed in two ways— one is after your marriage :) and another is when you have difficulty falling asleep. Tossing and turning all night and holding that pillow tight— sometimes counting sheep back and forth— the fight goes on.
Whist the first one is only for a specific group of people, the latter one is applicable to almost everyone. From a toddler to grownups in their late 80s, anyone can suffer from insufficient sleep and it’s more common among adults. Research has found that 1 in 3 adults face difficulties having quality sleep.
Even though many of us rest in bed for hours after hours— sometimes more than 12 hours, that won’t count as quality sleep if it’s not ‘sound’ enough. And the universal 7-8 hours sleep a day is not applicable to everyone out there. Some people may need a little bit more to call it appropriate for them while some may have a few hours recommended as appropriate.
Considering 7 hours as the standard, we can say only a handful of us sleep ‘right’ at night. All those mobile tappings till midnight and then set the alarm at early in the morning to catch the bus right in time isn’t uncommon among us— especially among the teenagers.

We may have our particular reasons, but, this is something that we should not practice. Well, some people find it truly hard to fall asleep early, but this is not what you used to do at an early age.
If I’m not wrong, we all were early birds until we have turned it into a habit to go to sleep late and rise up early— thanks to the gadgets we use these days and especially, our guardians should be given credit for this as well.
In some families, it’s the parents who are in the practice of such a habit, and consequently, it inspires others to do the same. It may sound okay to sleep late and get up likewise as you are covering 8 hours or more— this has adverse effects on your mind and health. Effects that you should be alarmed of. Continue this and you will gradually become a victim of sleep deprivation.
Sleep deprivation has some visible as well as hidden effects on our psychology and physical health. Initially, it can affect your day-to-day performances, your functionality, and your ability to lead a quality life— in the long term, rest assured your libido will be declined. There are many negative effects of sleep deprivation but why mention this particular one— you may ask.
Similar to cigarettes, nothing has made a man think twice unless there was a statement pointing the consumption of cigarettes reduces sex life. For men, it’s a matter of concern— even more than death I guess. So, it’s like hitting the iron when it’s hot.

The first thing that you can do to avoid or escape the habit is to follow a strict time management policy. You may find this hard to cope with in the early phases, but trust me, you will be benefitted in the long run. And yes, lesser screen time is recommended. Consider this your first priority followed by a determination to accomplish the goal.
