We live in a world stuffed with mental unrest. For the majority to be specific. Mental stability is the most desired thing we all are after. Regardless of age and fortune, everybody wants to enjoy a moment less clouded with worldly mess. Somewhere somehow something doesn't quite add up— pushing us even to go above the bar to attain it, however, only a few successfully reached the destination. Yet, the quest never stops.
In crypto sphere, we all buzz about volatility. Little do we understand how we all belong to a volatile world; persuaded by voracious desire, we spend our life in constant vulnerability— our connections to the crypto regime don’t matter. But at the end of the day, some people laugh at those experiencing a financial loss for some dumping or in general, bear condition. Only if they knew they are no different; he, they, we— all are gambling with every breath sitting at the same table called life; some losses make others the winners.
And the loop continues.
Although some never meet their fortune, perhaps it’s better they don’t know what fortune stands for— it’s all about mentality, isn’t it? Otherwise, a handful of people won’t possess the wealth of more than half of the global population combined and yet, continue pursuing more. Such is the power of desire-for-more, a plague that is creating a polar distance between two classes in a global society.
Sometimes I reminisce stories from my childhood. You know, Robin Hood and like. Stealing from the rich to give to poor. I don’t know if such a thing existed, I mean how’s that possible in a general sense? If you are feeding a group and taking care of them, they will be loyal to you for life. That makes you a leader— leader of the pack. It’s like raising an ethical army willing to sacrifice their lives in case you are in danger.
Well, the concept of raising an army is still at large, but from a different perspective; quite the opposite. Billionaires build an army of accountants, lawyers, and manipulators to exploit every opportunity to plunder the poor and most vulnerable; mostly in wages. Ironically, they are the authority to regulate fair wages and equal opportunities. Not that I am enraged or about to declare war, just a random thought. Point is, when our mentality is going to change, take a positive turn. I don’t expect to witness it in my lifetime, anyway.
But any willing government can take steps. Before I say so, to assure you, I am fully aware of how governments are influenced by those wealthy classes. Not to mention many governments are owned by them already. But we can hope. Believe.
About the UK government’s update on wage scale, which is to add 1 pound to the minimum salary, I think it will be rubbing salt on SMEs’ existing wounds. Apparently, large enterprises won’t suffer but small businesses will find it hard to live on profits made. Besides, more salary, doesn’t matter the increased amount, means more taxes. So, you get more, you pay more— the amount you get after deducting taxes remains the same or around your early payslips. Nevertheless, people are excited, including me.
But I don’t have high expectations, the more I think about this, the deeper I go, I don’t find any destination except for those people having more wealth than half of the world’s population. Nothing changes but them.
