Cornflowers. This picture is a macro focus stake - image created of stacking 5 separate captures. I always find all the petals and the inner world of this flower very touchy, but it is hard to capture to get it all in focus... not in one take. Clickable for hi-res.
My Sigma 150mm is capable of quite bokehlicious shots.

Thats not the best one in the series (and it turned out slightly overexposed), but the cornflower reminds me here a tall Mexican cactus (well, a bit!) - and that provides to the image a lot of fun, and makes it special for me.
On this shot the flower reminds me a jar with a flowers bouqiet in it. Lovely!
Bud in the focus. Real pyramid. Also assembled from 3 separate shots.
And the last one. The more distance -- the more is focus zone... but less macro and less detalization. It is all pretty much tangled up.
I hope you did not get bored from looking at this only flower. (It's a weed, by the way! but a beautiful one, especially when you see it suddenly among the ocean of a yellow rye...)
I forgot to add, that we planted this cornflowers at our garden. We have a few varieties, the 'garden', 'decoration' version of it I posted before (and it also bloomed earlier) I like less than these, which look much more closer to the original, wild, undomesticated version.
