A little promotion post again about our community, for the Hive Communities Discovery Initiative by @theycallmedan. What are the benefits of posting in this community? and what it is all about? This is not the 1st time I am writing about this, so how can I tell you something new?
Fungi Lovers is an active Community that is home for all mushroom stuff you can imagine.. most often it is original photos, but also cooking receips, stories and art - all is welcome here!
There also exist a few more special places for mushroom lovers: NaturalMedicine, where you can focus more on medicinal qualities of the mushrooms, and MushroomGrowing which is focused more on homesteading aspects; but FL is the most universal, omnivorous and full of drive :P
Any fisherman need an auditoria to tell quackish stories about their amazing trophies. Setero (silent mushroom hunters) is no exception! Sure thing, that it is nice to be a part of something! And you can be a part of our little, but cool community, and enjoy all its benefits.
At the moment, FL is 270 subscribers and 57 active users... and a lot of great posts to dig in the back archive, and a lot of room for an awesome new ones! Naturally, most of these people are not vivid readers (there is a well-known empirical law: 80% of any phenomenon is trash and rubbish, hehe), but the active part is your target audience: people who will look at your mushrooms, appreciate your photos and stories, give an opinion on obligatory questions "look what did I find here, what is the iD?", and upvote.
The last, but not the least: most intresting / quality posts have a good chance to get a nice upvote from #OCD as we're part of their community incubation project! Which is extremely helpful for your growing, especially if you are not a big fish here, at HIVE. We started to publish reports on these best / curated blogs (yet we are doing it rather on irregular basis).
@qwerrie - founder, admin and promoter
@ewkaw - moderator and curator and driving force
@sketch.and.jam - moderator and best fungi expert on Hive, especially when it comes to edibility issues and cooking experience
@davidgermano - moderator and pro micology scientist
Right from the beginning, we started to grow curating power for FL account. Each post to the group is getting 100% FL upvote, at the moment the power is 750HP, and it is in your hands to make it better. Until your strategy is not 'take the money and run', ofc. I am delegating to the group myself, and we also received a delegation from #OCD. You are welcome to delegate a little HP, if you feel you have some extra and want to benefit for the community. Feel free to follow and upvote FL account posts, all payouts will proceed to the group's HP.
We just kindly ask: go for quality, not for quantity.
No need to spam over the place with low quality posts, that will get you no readers; its pointless and waste of your lifetime. Good stuff on the contrary is getting a juicy rewards from @OCD, I hope you appreciate it (OCD discord channel, in case you have questions to ask or urged to say thankyou).
To encourage ENGAGEMENT there is a weekly fun challenge hold by @ewkaw:
I hope many of you will join, as there are only 2 simple rules:
Here are a few banners you can use in your posts, if you'd like to promote community and #FungiFriday challenge.
I cannot but mention that among other great groups, that received #OCD support, and worth you posting there, are two
