This surrealistic image I captured on the 1st day of my trip to Ladoga skerries (Karelia, Russia). Technically speaking, it is not the 1st day yet, it is sort of preface / prologue to our trip -- it is 3 or 4 A.M., we are making a night 6-hour transfer to the point where it will start... well, doesnt matter. The fact is, I performed a 1/2 second timing to get this image -- it wasnt like this for the human eyes. it was all very dark, and a little pink line at the horizon promised there will be sunrise... eventually. This nightly transfer (перегон) in my opinion is the hardest and always the most dull part of the trip.

So, it really turned out surprisingly good. Which is a great fun for me about photography, not knowing for sure what you have done, what results you will be getting in the end!
