Last weekend, I was one of six at the gathering at Ernest's home. We try to do that once a month, to catch with each other. There were more in the group, but we are still under Covid-19 restrictions, where each household is allowed five visitors only.

We arrived at about 1 pm. Ernest fried some noodles for us.

The side dishes were a treat from Nat who just got confirmed in her new job.

There are always plenty to eat at our gatherings. This is one day when thoughts of dieting get thrown out. This is a day of eating, chatting and for some, drinking.

Cottage Pie Cafe's specialities.

Pretty looking jelly heart - jelly, strawberry, cheese dessert.

After that, there were tidbits of one sort or another. It was non stop eating while we talked about what happened since we last met.

Caramel coated pop corns, ice-creams, chips, peanuts....

It was very nice to just relax, hang out with friends, eat, drink, chat, and listen to anecdotes. There was also a lot of bantering, making it a laughter and fun filled day.

The day slipped by without our realising it. Soon, it was dinner time. Ernest excused himself to cook what he described as a simple dinner.

There were more fruits after dinner.

We call it a night shortly after dinner. It was another great, fun filled, and food filled day.
