Hello everyone and welcome to hive Ghana weekly prompt,my name is 
Indeed I get my comfort from meals as a foodie but I have so many moments that I experience from meals.
The are alot of emotions following my comfort meal which is white rice and stew.This dish is mostly cooked in our home not just on Sundays like most family does but whenever their is means and mostly on Christmas.Whenever I eat white rice and stew,it makes me remember the feeling of Christmas and eating it with family and friends is indeed christmas to me.This meal makes me comfortable and happy just with the aroma of my mother's food I remember memories and moments.
When I was a child,we were enroll for extra moral lessons which we attend on Sundays,me and my siblings going to that lesson use to be a tug of war for me cause I prefer to stay home and eat than going to lesson knowing my favorite meal is waiting for me at home.Even after eating before going I can't really seem to have enough of it.
Right now anytime I remember that I will smile and say to myself,what was I even thinking but it was indeed my comfort.
Rice in general,is one of my best meal,but with stew is my best.Thise days in secondary school,as a press club member,we use to organize get together every end of the year,our food and nutritional teacher use to make our meals for us.
The moments we share while eating is enough to know that meal is not just to satisfy the stomach,it goes beyond that,it makes us remember our close ones,the way things use to be,our experiences and moments we have shared,no wonder no matter where you go if you eat a food that taste like home you will always know.
White rice and stew goes beyond a meal for me,it is a comfort to me,it reminds me of home,where I come from,what I live for and what makes me happy.That is always that excitement I feel when making this meal and how much I cherish the memories from this meal.
I hope I always eat this meal with my complete family and share more of this moments together.
