Forrest Mars, son of Mars Society founder Frank C. Forrest Mars received a patent for its own process on March 3, 1941, and production of M & Ms began in 1941 in the United States.
The US military was the first client of the company. These candies allowed soldiers to carry chocolate in hot areas without melting it. During the Second World War, sweets were sold exclusively to the army and soldiers. Today, these sweets are the happiness of millions of people around the world. In the United States, more than 400 million of these treats are produced daily.
