I wasn't expecting that I will become a mother this soon, at least not now but life always has a way of gifting us what's not in our plan book, looking back at my motherhood journey, I smiled and truly if I say I don't like this gift life has given me then I am a joker
My journey as a mother has been wonderful without regrets and I have always waited for a day I will share my motherhood journey with someone but I never knew it was going to be with the amazing mothers of Hive. When I saw this prompt:
"We want our moms to share their stories, their journeys in this amazing road that is Motherhood, any tips or anything you would have done differently? Anything you don't like about motherhood?"
I smiled and said to myself "at last, the time has come for me to share my journey as a mother, lol!
You will agree with me that being a mother is not easy, starting from the first stage which is pregnancy to the never ending stages. Becoming a mother has shaped my life, though when I first started this journey, I was scared at some point because I kept wondering if I will be a good mother
Are there any tips you would love to share?
Sure, You know, 75 percent of mothers gets busy and they barely have time for their children. As a mother, no matter how busy you get, spending at least 30 to 40 minutes of your time with your child is not a bad idea and it will help both you and your child to:
- Know each other
- it will help you as a mother to know your children capabilities, weaknesses and differences (that is if you have more than one child)
- The love between you and your child will grow stronger.
Is there anything I would do differently?
Definitely yes! One of my greatest challenges is when my children are lacking and I am limited to providing for them, if there's one thing I would have done differently then is to work hard and earn more money that at least will be enough to provide for my children before embarking on this motherhood journey
Is there anything you don't like about motherhood?
You know, this got me thinking and I asked myself "why will any mother not like being a mother"? But I have come to realize that motherhood is exhausting and if care is not taking one might end up not liking it. As for me, I like everything about motherhood except for the fact that my children make noise a lot 😂
Oh well, permit me to say that motherhood is sweet and I love every aspect of it.
