Since my childhood, I heard a number of butterfly stories. All fairy-tale stories had butterfly in it. People like butterflies because of their vibrant colors, delicate beauty, and the symbolism of transformation they represent. When I noticed one at my home, I could not stopped from clicking it.
There are number of theories around butterfly. A butterfly entering our home is considered auspicious because it symbolizes transformation, rebirth, and positive change, often interpreted as a sign of good news or positive developments coming our way. The butterfly is associated with the soul and is seen as a messenger of good fortune.
Butterflies are aesthetically pleasing creatures, bringing a sense of joy and beauty to wherever they appear. In some cultures, butterflies are seen as messengers from the spirit world or deceased loved ones, signifying a spiritual connection.
Till few years ago, I consider any two wings creatures as butterfly. Untill I learned about them in my biology lessons. A Moth is very identical looking creature too.
To identify a butterfly from a moth, the most reliable way is to look at their antennae. *Butterflies have club shaped antennae with a bulb at the end, while moths typically have feathery or comb like antennae. Additionally, butterflies usually fold their wings vertically when resting, whereas moths tend to hold their wings in a tent like fashion over their abdomen.
Seeing a butterfly fluttering around our home is often interpreted as a sign of positive energy entering our space. Hope to see some changes soon. I made sure to click them from a distance. In no way I wanted to created a chaos for this little creature. They are gift of nature, always fascinating to watch.
