Unity and co-operation is one of the best way to achieve greater things and to excel on different levels of life, if the nation can work together in unity, love, co-operation and harmony then i guarantee you that in years there will PRODUCTIVITY and ACHIEVEMENT all because of this qualities....
The only way a country can excel is if they work hand in hand with their citizens and making the opinion of the masses count and giving them the freedom of speech but it is actually vise versa...
With the way things are going right now, a lot of people have been forced to stop dreaming and hoping that there will be better days ahead...
The system is bad, children have been forced to stop schooling and go into hawking just for survival, a lot of people have lost their life and sense of reasoning as a result one or two things going on in the country, nothing in the country is been done wright and we are all heartbroken ...

Why do you think people are loosing hope in the country? it is because the moment we think something good is coming our way and we get our hopes and dreams up, then everything just come crashing down all because of greed and covetousness..
There is no discipline, integrity, honesty, dedication and commitment in the country again, the leaders are fighting for just their own personal gain, even the ones that try to set things wright are just few and those few are the ones who make sure our hopes and dreams are been fulfilled, they are responsible for our little hopes ..
I can remember a story my uncle shared with me when i was younger, he told me that since the day he was born, his parents has telling him that in years that the country will be better and as a child he believed them and now see him, he is 70 years and what has changed since the last 70 years of his life...
He said he thought all would be better when he grows up but now it seems that the past is better than the future and now the days are dark and the only way we can survive in this country is when we put an end to CORRUPTION which is impossible....
The rate at which the prices of goods and commodities are sky rocketing are quite alarming, we have lamented and cried but nothing is happening, the most painful thing is that if there is employment for the public then buying at any price won't be hard but there are no job opportunities for the able bodied and still there is INFLATION...
Even in times of crises when rations are been shared, only half of the country would get their shares what about the other half? would they starve and if they steal its a crime, can such people be blamed for stealing food in such times, its just that the way the country is going, it is them pushing people beyond limit and now they are at the edge....
Presently the country is in a very bad state and the only advancement i see is in TECHNOLOGIES but in other aspect, its a no from me and now that things are hard, what would the future bring forth and what are the next generations suppose to face if presently all is very bad...
I remember the good old days where things are gotten at cheaper price and even our currency was worth gold then, i can remember when i was younger, back then if i have just #100, I will eat to my satisfaction, i will buy noodles and egg and still keep keep change but now that #100 is just for one noodles...
The good old days were when things are cheaper and our currency had value, someone with a thousand naira will spend it for a week and still keep change, things like:
- A MILK CUP OF RICE - #25 then and now #120
- I SPAGHETTI - #100/#110 then and now #500
- TOMATO PASTE - #25/#30 then and now #100
- NOODLES - #25/#30 and now #80. #100, #120
Above are the prices of goods years ago and how high they are now all because of what??
For my uncle to tell me that the past was better than the future in terms of living imagine what he must have gone through...
The only improvement i see is in technology, medical cases etc but in other cases we need a powerful hand to intervene...
You can't predict the future, you can only pray and hope for a better future and for our generation and generations to come to enjoy the good fruit of the land..
There is this saying in my country and it has become our mantras for both young and adult and what is it???
"BETTER DAYS ARE COMING.."
The better days has been coming for years and it is not here yet, people are been forced to go meet better days where it got stuck because it is taking ages to get to everyone...
The way i tend to enjoy my future and for my future generations coming to be able to live fine is for me to prepare now in case there is a change of plans..
There is one rule of life and that is "ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP PLAN", if plan A fails you, switch to plan B....
I don't know what the future holds for me and the nation at large but the only thing we can do is to pray for a better future and nation, we can only dream and hope but as for me i am tired of sleeping and dreaming of something that can only change when the roots are removed and changed...
In summary, this is still our country and we can't abandon it, we will assist each other in the best way we can and that also in helping the nation with prayers and we hope for better tomorrow and future...
In conclusion, we hope the years to come becomes the years we all have been longing and waiting patiently for but don't forget always have a back up plan so that you won't be caught off guard....
