There is a particular saying in the yoruba land and it goes like this; the horse running at the forefront is the one the other horses coming behind will look up to that is to say if the leading horse falls into a ditch there is 80 percent chance that the ones coming behind will fall into that same ditch because the one who is leading them also fell into that same ditch...
Relating this to the aspect of life, it means it takes a good and dedicated leader to lead his/her followers in the wright path because to them they think they have found a point in life where their leader's counsel and words will always be the best for them at all times, what if the leaders fails at some point and his/her followers out of devotion follows him/her blindly and at the end it leads to regret...
The above introduction means something deep and i am sure most of my readers understand my point from it and for those who finds it hard to understand everything i will explain in the lame man term;
We need a good, discipline, honest, courageous, upright and devoted leader in life, one who is capable of helping his/her followers progress in life especially when the followers becomes a leader to other upcoming followers, the teaching and morals from his/her leader will be a direction and a manual to which he/she will lead them and it becomes a continuous action which will always yield good result...
This same view is also applied to the HIVE BLOCKCHAIN, i mean in the terms of newbies and their manner of approach towards the blockchain, we all see the hive blockchain in different light and when i say different light i meant some people see it as a privilege and opportunity to improve and show case their skills, god-given talent and their writing skills, some set of people see at a money making platform where they can just write to earn money, some people see it as a social media platform where they can make friends and with other attached benefits, some people see it as a chance to prove and express themselves to the world through their writing skills, some people at some point cared about the reward but it got to a time where the reward became a payment to their constant and effective utilization of giving out quality content, some people see it as a platform where they can give out their best work and get rewarded for it in different means and we have some people who sees it as everything here or another thing where do you fall??...
The question you should ask yourself at all times is that is my content worthy of this reward i am getting??, if yes be happy of it but if no then your conscience will do the rest and then you can improve and get better over the time, there will always be room for improvement..
Many writers have been punished on the hive blockchain because of plagiarism and other things but the main issue is plagiarism, i will blame the writers 50 percent and their onboarders 50 percent, i have my reasons for that and i will explain better below..
It is a different thing to onboard a new member, it is a different thing to explain the rules and regulations guiding the platform to them, it is a different thing to monitor them most of the time when making their content, it is a different thing to make sure they have the talent in them , it is a different thing to know if they are only concerned about the reward or dishing out good and quality content and then get rewarded as a keep up the good work..
Many onborders have made one or two mistakes in this aspect and it will lead to their onboardee plagiarizing which will in one way or the other come back to hunt them after investigation..
The best way to ensure your onboardee doesn't plagiarize is to spend quality time in explaining the rules and regulations to him/her offline, let them write whatever they want to post in a shit of paper if possible for weeks and you cross check it and give a go ahead, make sure they are writing without any help, let them know what they can write on either their experience or happenings and if you see they are catching up, let them do it one after the other and you as his/her mentor will look from afar to see how well they are doing and then with gradual explanation and warning he/she will yield to corrections but ultimately make sure they have it in them before onboarding them, prepare them well before onboarding them...
Incase there is anything wrong after you have done your best in explaining to your onboardee and he/she plagiarizes then you can leave them to their cross and there is possiblity you can get strikes for this and to avoid getting punished for onboarding a plagiarist, don't introduce them to it without thorough and adequate preparation before hand, make sure he/she is ready to start the hive journey because both the onboarder and onboardee is at stake in this case...
Never onboard someone just for the reward alone, onboard them when you see they have the skills and talent to progress further even without your help, study them well before taking that step..
Fulfill your duty until you know and believe they can move well without breaking the rules and regulations of the blockchain, do your duty till the end and don't just onboard them and leave them to their cross, if you don't have the time to teach them, don't onboard them in the first place...
A good leader will never leave his/her followers halfway in the journey..
