The journey on hive platform has been tough so far but irrespective of how tough it is, in the last couple of months i have been able to find my way on the platform if not completely but partially, what i am sure of now is that i have at most 60 percent knowledge on how to progress on the hive platform and the remaining 40 percent is my CRYPTO KNOWLEDGE which is quite shaky but with time i will get better probably before my 1 YEAR HIVEDAY...
There is always a monday hangout in the hive learners discord channel where topics are raised and discussed with different contributions, ideas and points from everyone, even if i haven't been privilege to attend, i still get a summary of it from one or two friends and while scrolling there today, i found this monday's point of discussion which is INVESTING IN HIVE...
This point focuses on the best way to grow one's account, it can either be a regular power ups or compounding HBD in savings??
I am going to share my own point of view on this topic as a post because since the day i joined the hive platform, my main focus has been to grow my hive account gradually and so far so good it has been working fine for me...
MY STRATEGY ON HOW I HAVE BEEN GROWING MY HIVE ACCOUNT..
When i joined the hive platform 5 months ago, it was hard and hectic because i was still a newbie and i struggled a lot to understand couple of things but in no time it all changed and things were working in my favor..
I took some hive lessons from a lot of oldies on hive including my mentor and supporting mentors from the neoxian city, they made me understand that the main key to surviving on the platform is QUALITY POSTS AND ENGAGEMENT, they explained all this to me in bits and pieces and i saw the difference when i started doing it and then i set a goal for myself...
I am someone who likes to work with target and goals, i set a goal for myself after two months on hive and that goal include building my HP, accumulating HIVE, engaging in many posts as possible, this made me focused and determined and since then i have been trying to meet my target of acquiring 1k HP before the ending of my 6th month on the hive blockchain which my deadline is 31ST OF OCTOBER..
My current hp is 864 HP and i have been able to accumulate that using different method all of which result to me acquiring both HP and HIVE at the same time..
At first i set my post rewards to 50% HBD and 50% HP, it has been that way for four months plus, i wanted to be getting both hp and hbd but i realized i need to accumulate my hive too for future purpose then i changed my dimension and manner of approach...
I started using all my accumulated HBD to purchase hive when it is dipping and with my hbd i get times two of it in hive, 1 hbd to get 2 hive @ 0.5 and 0.48, and so i started accumulating hive instead of hbd and then i discovered POWERING UP..
After I discovered that powering up will make me hit my goals and targets faster, I decided to start powering up every first day of every month and later again I discovered I can power up any time of the month, this discovery made my job easier and faster and by then I have already started accumulating Hive and then I started investing in the purchasing of hive and powering up to HP, now I get the triple of them, accumulating hive, hbd and hp..
I started doing this TWO months ago, every of my payouts gives me hp and hbd, I use part or all of my hbd to buy hive and then power up half of the hive I bought and I did that for months and in no time my goal of acquiring 1k hp were getting closer and nearer and it brought me to 864 hp..
I realized that if I had been powering up just every first day of the month alone, I will be stuck but I wanted hive, hbd and hp, so my method was the best way and it worked out fine for me...
There was a time when I compounded my hbd and then hive was dipping, I wanted to get the interest and therefore I couldn't buy hive at that moment and the dip passed and I missed it but luckily fortune smiled on me and it dipped the following week..
I immediately spent half of my accumulated hbd in savings to buy hive which gave me times two and then I powered up and then I was a step closer to my goal again and then later on i used up all my hbd to buy hive and removed hbd accumulation from my goals and STARTED chasing another goal Which some of my Neoxian friends knows about, the likes of

I did this and so far so good I have been getting closer to my target each and everyday with regular power up and post reward and I will say all the strategy I used worked out for me be it powering up and compounding hbd..
In summary, the strategy to use is based on your preference and my preference turned out to be outstanding and rewarding, I am happy that I am getting closer to my goals and in weeks I will be here again with a post of testimony of me acquiring my 1K HP in 6 months of joining the hive platform...
