Cheating is one of the trait man we humans possess, I don't know about you but I am a cheater lol, this is me being brutally honest with myself, if I were to tell you all that I am not a cheater, then I would be telling you all a big lie and my conscience will judge me because deep down in my heart i know i am a cheater and guess what?, I am at peace with my conscience...
Hey guys don't get me wrong because I called myself a cheater oh, when it comes to life challenges and hurdles, I tend to cheat in some ways but when it comes to the relationship aspect of cheating, no I don't cheat, which means I am not a cheater...
When I talk about me being a cheater in the presence of life's challenges and hurdles, I mean I have cheated several times in the examination hall due to inadequate preparation and I have also cheated my siblings in so many ways for different reasons, the fact is just that my cheating depends on the situation i find myself in but relationship-wise, i have never cheated, i am a devoted lover when it comes to relationship but in other areas of life i am not sure...
Cheating is terrible, no doubt about that fact but there are some unplanned situations we find ourselves in, and the best option available to us is to cheat, example of such a case is seeing some untaught questions in an examination and the lecturer in charge made that particular number a must to answer, what would one do in that case???, will you choose failure over cheating or will you choose cheating over failure, i leave the answer to your inner mind...
Okay friends that short write-up above was just the tip of the iceberg, there is more from where that came from, and without wasting too much time on irrelevant details, I will be diving into what I have for you today, it will be short and precise...
WHY DO PEOPLE CHEAT???
Today I will be focusing my points on the academic aspect of cheating, as explained above, it is indeed a fact that cheating is terrible, and on different occasions, the consequences may be dire and there are times we get lucky, cheating during test or examination could end up in two ways, you either get lucky or get unfortunate but for me, I have always been lucky when it comes to cheating in the examination hall, you can call me a PABLO in cheating...
Using my case as an example, I didn't cheat because I wanted to or because I didn't read well for the examination, I cheated because I had no other choice and that particular subject was very important to me, I had to cheat to answer those compulsory questions only and guess what? I was lucky and didn't get caught...
From the story above, it is obvious that I cheated because of the situation I found myself in and the fact was that I was scared and unhappy while cheating because I wasn't good at it and as the first time indulging in such act, I won't want to be dragged for cheating in the examination hall, i was also known and loved by many but the situation i found myself in was terrifying that i had to cheat...
So answering the question of why people cheat, some people cheat because of the situation they find themselves in, some cheat because they are too lazy to study, some cheat because they are good at doing bad things, some cheat because it is in their gene, some cheat because they see reading as something uninteresting, some cheat because no matter how much they read, they don't ever understand what is being taught and lastly some people cheat because they believe they can't be caught...
The truth is that cheating can end in one of two ways, get lucky or become unfortunate, and as a cheater myself, I have seen some cheaters get unfortunate because they over-cheated, it is different to just cheat for 1-2 questions and it is a different thing entirely to cheat with all the questions asked, in this case such person is asking for his or her doom...
I have cheated many times in the past, during mid-term tests and examinations, there were times I cheated because I had no other option even after reading the whole notebook and textbook, there were times I cheated because I was too lazy to read for the examination, there were times i cheated because i felt like i was a pro cheater and that i can never be caught in the act...
The reason why I have never been caught cheating was because I don't over-cheat, I just cheat for two or three difficult questions and I have the ability to cram any definition upon just a few secs of sight, others get caught because they loose their guard while cheating and they tend to overdo it most times...
I read a lot but there are times I get lazy in reading which is why I tend to cheat sometimes, I take a huge risk every time I cheat on an examination or test and the feeling is never pleasant and that is why I don't overdo it...
It is always hurtful to pass my examinations knowing fully well I cheated in some aspects and that is why I don't cheat often and tend to read everytime but sometimes the situation is always unavoidable...
In summary, I console myself with the fact that at least I did 70 percent of the examination myself and the 30 percent was because of the situation and so far so good, it's been fine and okay...
In conclusion, Cheating is not easy, both in the relationship aspect and in the academic aspect, it takes a lot of courage and confidence to cheat in an examination hall but those that know what they are doing will likely never get unfortunate and this is where i fall in this category...
