QuarkChain has been holding its weekly AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Telegram/Wechat groups every Saturday, from 7-8 PM PST. This is the summary for AMA from last week. We are always happy to take questions/comments/suggestions.
QuarkChain’s next big step is to open source and launch our testnet 2.0, in which everybody is able to join the network and mine. Our engineers are working hard on both the documents and codes. You can find the document at:
https://developers.quarkchain.io/#introduction.
The mainnet is still scheduled Q4 to launch if everything goes well. We think the plan is objective, but everything should depend on the actual progress. For example, even Ethereum’s mainnet takes about nine months to become stabilized. We want to make sure that our project is in a good-shape before launching mainnet so that everyone's benefits can be protected here.
Though it may not be wise to be listed in new exchanges in the bear market, QuarkChain team is still actively seeking better solutions.
I think China is banning the scam and fraudulent projects rather than blockchain technology. Instead, blockchain technology is very welcome in China. We are the kind of team more focusing on technology, and we even think China’s action may help us.
Blockchain is a global revolution. It should and can not be controlled by one project. In the market, QuarkChain has its own features. For example, a lot of infrastructures focus on 1) vertical scalability; 2) vertical domain. While with our horizontal scalability infrastructure, we could easily 1) employ the latest vertical scalability results into QuarkChain; 2) add shards that support vertical domain natively. There will be a lot of interesting features we are targeting for QuarkChain testnet 2.0 besides scalability.
NAS even claims that they have more DApps than ETH. We need DApps running on us of high-quality. Our goal is when a killer DApp shows up, we could provide it with the best infrastructure. In fact, QuarkChain is nurturing more DApps.
Currently, we use Python (as Vitalik's favorite). However, we plan to work on more efficient language once most of the features are ready. We are always welcome contributions from communities. Feel free to join our developer community at:

We won't claim any numbers, but we will help any community members to reproduce it. Testnet 2.0 happens after open source. Note that we did not list any TPS numbers on our roadmap. Later for the mainnet, the average TPS depends on the real traffic. Thus, it is not determined by us but depends on how many applications are running on top of the mainnet.
Yes, currently QKC is used as GAS, but we will support more features. Here is one more interesting feature we may support:

We just opened QuarkChain’s official developer community on Discord. Feel free to join us and discuss up-to-date blockchain technologies with other hackers!

Thanks for the suggestions from community members, we have started a new post in our official Reddit account (https://www.reddit.com/r/quarkchainio/) to collect questions before each AMA. Please feel free to post your questions and suggestions there any time before AMA. (Every Saturday from 7 PM to 8 PM, PST)
We opened our official Facebook account now! Welcome to post there, give us your feedback and ask us questions at https://www.facebook.com/quarkchain/ !
Thank you for reading our AMA summary this week! The QuarkChain community appreciates your support!
