Yes, Peter spends a lot of time on that subject in his book. While there are certainly DNA factors beyond our control, he does the best job I have ever read of going beyond that.
I won't say more (except for the following point), to not spoil the content, but like any of these numerous experts preaching we all need more exercise, he does the same. But he does it examining in great detail the limits of what he calls "Medicine 2.0" (today) and advocating passionately for a new Medicine 3.0 (tomorrow) approach.
I don't think anyone reading it will find it a waste of their time. Quite the opposite for most.
