Yes, @creativemary, we are unique. And that is a good thing, I believe.

Individualism in our time seems to have become something this is frowned upon. The public pressure to conform to some sort of "for the common good" standard is applied pretty consistently, through focus on what divides us. With loud proclamations about why this group or that group should be viewed one way or another. Based on what? Backed by whose authority?

Wouldn't our world be a healthier place to live and thrive, if we were free to just be ourselves, as your posts suggests? Focusing far more on what unites us?
