Of course I didn't. I trust other scientists.
But it doesn't matter if I did those experiments(flat earther's wouldn't believe me regardless if I actually did the experiments myself).

In my opinion those who try to disprove round earth should start by remaking those experiments, but I've never seen a flat-earther doing that(except from the gyroscope example, but there they just came to the conclusion that we are not rotating regardless of the results of their experiment.).

Especially when my point is literally about observation and that people telling us things doesn't count as a scientific event.

The problem in modern science is that not everyone can repeat every single experiment.
In some cases most of us will have to trust in scientists.

Especially the flat/round earth case is a lot easier to trust than anything else, because even the church, the hardest fighter for flat earth, accepted a round earth.

if they were dangling around on a conical pendulum sort of thing, this wouldn't somehow prove that you're standing on a sphere.

I tend to think you don't really see this, but are just trying to reverse engineer a way that your comment makes sense. I don't really even know what you mean by "everything disappears". To me when I go outside it looks flat and everything does not disappear. But okay, whatever, lol.

Go to some place near the sea, as water usually stays at one level meaning it should be flat in flat-earth.
Look out at the sea and you might find a few ships or another cost line.
If you take a close look, you will see that the bottom of ships/buildings on the other side is always hidden. That wouldn't make any sense on a flat earth.

You really ought to rethink whether you have proof and observation, or if actually you have a set of things that seems coherent and could be true but you don't know for sure.

Yes I acknowledge, that I have only a set of things and equations and I don't even know if this world is real, but I do know that this is the only theory that makes sense and is coherent to my observations of the world around me.
All flat earth theories I have seen tend to make unreasonable things at or near the south pole.
Also they usually also claim those satellites I see sometimes are not there, because NASA lies about everything…
