You would just need to measure the sun's relative position at two different points on earth at the same time. It's that easy.

So also not something you actually have observed, or that I could go observe.

But regardless -- unless I'm making a bad geometry fail -- finding the radius this way would not demonstrate it's a sphere.

You'd find the angle and crunch the numbers, is I assume what you mean. So you'd know the radius but it could be the radius of a flat plane.

No. That only proves that if it's flat, there must be something wrong with the theory of gravity.

Flat earth is a different model. You can't assume all the legs and variables of round earth model need to be in play.

Round earth model depends on gravity being a thing, but flat earth doesn't.

So no, seeing a satellite flying just polarizes it into "if flat, then gravity is wrong". It does not prove roundness.

Or really shed any light whatsoever, since flat earth model already wasn't using gravity.

I'm not saying I think this is really happening, but if they were dangling around on a conical pendulum sort of thing, this wouldn't somehow prove that you're standing on a sphere.

You really ought to rethink whether you have proof and observation, or if actually you have a set of things that seems coherent and could be true but you don't know for sure.
