This is going to be a short format post compared to my long form project reviews. Consider these as a quick digest. Ok so let's get it started. I took the liberty of checking out Adam Meister, host of a popular YouTube channel focused on Bitcoin, attend a crypto MeetUp at WeWork in LA. The office was an amazing venue complete with a small theater where the talk was held. Thirty people were in attendance. Some were already involved with crypto, some were not but were curious about it. Adam explained BTC as the preeminent crypto currency due to its ownership properties, government censorship resistance, and proven history of riding out price declines. He pointed out that Bitcoin was in a two year long bear market back in 2014-2015. Then the halvening happened. Bitcoin's price skyrocketed. Holders who had the token at $1,000 and panic sold to $200 started to look foolish. Hearing that made me laugh since Bitcoin is well above that today. Let's be rational for a second: past history does not indicate future performance. Let's be irrational for a second: BTC is probably going to increase in price. I'll go with the latter. The value of complete ownership is worth a heck of a lot more than $7K per unit. Normally I get a dose of Bitcoin maximalism from Tone Vays, but today Adam Meister served that need. I'm bullish on altcoins however. Adam isn't. I'm bullish because of the incentivized behaviors dApps could bring to human communities, computer networks, and server-server economies. Does everything need to be tokenized? Do we even need smart contracts? Is decentralized computational processing better than what we have? These are all interesting questions. If you've read my other Steem posts or have seen my website Quantalysus you'll know I'm bullish on altcoins. Thanks for reading my shorter format post. Figured it would be fun to have more of a stream of consciousness format for everyone.
