Here's my electronic music offering for the day, a strut, written in the northern Adirondack Valentian special strutting style. Yep, that's right -- a reference to the Gnostic bishop, for whom Valentine's Day got its name. Speaking of which, upon listening to this, I opened that distorted electric piano part with the Bacharach/David tune, "Look of Love". I always liked that one; it was popular when I was young, and also,I had a Boots Randolph recording of it, which at that early age I played along with on my tenor sax. This is just a jam, I think, and from the sounds of it, I was clearly quite taken in with that distortion patch I'd created; additionally, I'm noodling around with an acoustic piano sound as well as some sort of hi-pass resonance with a sawtoothy synth sound, playing some planed 6-9 chords and whatnot, showing off what remains of my keyboard skills, not much to begin with, anyway! Heh. Who the hell knows why I made this; just something to amuse myself on a long-ago Valentian's day, no doubt. I like that tabla stuff at the end; wished I'd pushed those buttons sooner maybe.
