Hello, everyone, I would like to share about me going to the sea temple called Rambut Siwi Temple about 17 kilometers from where I live.
It's believed to be good day to go to the temple during the full moon, hence the Balinese go to pray to their temples during this particular day. They could go during the day from morning to evening.
I went yesterday at 11 PM. I drove for about half an hour and then I arrived on the road leading me to the sea side. I drove through water wellon farm and I saw some farmers were maintaining their farm there.
The parking area was almost empty. There were only one or two persons who got off from their car and walked toward the stairs up to the temple.
The temple is not exactly located by the sea shore but on a 20 meter high cliff. We needed to walk upstairs to reach the temple.
Ascening upstairs, we could see in a distance the waves on the sea was quite strong, and the wind blew quite hard too as we walked throught the stairs. It did not take long before we arrived on the top of the cliff where we could see this about 500 years old temple buildings.
We continued walking to the temple yard. There was actually not just one temple on the area, but about 8 temples where each temple has a different function for worshipping different manifestation of the God. In this post, I will share some temple photos of temple building especially the main temple area.
There were some local priests who were serving or helping us and those who came to pray at the temple. The service did not take a long time as there were not so many people.
Afterwards, we went out from the temple and sat down on a little pavilion located at the corner of a cliff. We sat down there resting and enjoying the view of the black sandy beach located down below the cliff. After some time, we had back home.
