During this "stay at home period", every day we try to find something to do being at home. Ever since our government came up with social distancing and stay home policy, we could not travel far. We could still, however, go to nearest place like the beach nearby our home.
Yesterday, my father in law told us about a bathing place with strong current and cool water at hilly area of Banyupoh village. He was very excited when telling us about this bathing place. And It sounded very interesting. So, my family decided to go there.
Today, after breakfast, we departed to Banyupoh village. Banyupoh is located in North Bali. It is a farming village where the local grow a lot of purple grapes. This time of the year, the grape is not in season. I could see a lot of grape farms but no grape fruit along our journey to the bath.
The view along the journey was beautiful. I stopped to take photos of the farm, the hills and the forest along the way. There were some farmers who passed by on the road including a man who held a scythe on his hand.
After a while, my father in law suddenly said "stop". He told us we have arrived in the bathing place. I could not believe my what I saw. Is this the bathing place with fast currents?
I imagined something bigger, a big river, with plenty of water flowing in that river. But all I saw was a small stream. No big river!
I saw some people sitting on the small stream, soaking their bodies in the water while chitchatting. They seemed to have good fun.
Finally, I just joined in my family and sit cross-legged on the stream, letting the water run through me. It was cool water. It's not bad at all. And, to my surprise, the kids were having fun sliding on the stream. Everybody had a good time.
Well, I could n't say I did not enjoy my time being in the "bath", it's just not what I expected.馃榿
