I think we all have plastic bottles in our homes, either water bottles or coke bottles.
Do you have any idea what you can do with them, instead of throwing them away? Today I'm going to show you one of the things you can do with a plastic bottle.
I was thinking of giving something to my sister, who was operated today for the first step of the reconstruction of her breast, after her abrasive breast cancer. Thank God, after more than 7 years of fighting, she has started to be healthy.
Materiales:
Botella de plástico limpia✔️
Cutter ✔️
Tijeras ✔️
Lápiz ✔️
Regla ✔️
Cartulinas decorativas ✔️
Cintas adhesivas decorativas ✔️
Pega en barra ✔️
Silicón líquido ✔️
I couldn't go out to buy anything because I was doing school work with my son. I was explaining some math to him, which he wasn't very clear about.
So I decided to make him a little plastic box with some useful material and then I could give him some chocolates.
Materials:
Clean plastic bottle.✔️
Cutter✔️
Scissors✔️
Pencil✔️
Ruler✔️
Decorative cardboard✔️
Decorative adhesive tapes✔️
Glue stick✔️
Liquid silicone✔️
The first thing I did, was to cut with the cutter, the bottle in the smooth parts, as seen in the image above. Then, try to match everything I cut, with the scissors.
It would have been great to smooth them out with a clothes iron; if you have one, try it while the iron is not so hot.
Then with the ears of the scissors, you are going to flatten in half and again in the other half, in order to give it a square shape.
The next thing I did, was to trace the edge of the plastic I had cut, with a pencil, and then make it straight with the ruler. This is done twice, to have two equal sizes.
Then I added 1.5 centimeters on each side. Take a good look at the images below. I cut the whole square and now I had to cut only the corners of one of them up to where you can see the mark. This is to make a tab.
Then you will glue those tabs with glue stick.
Watch carefully:
There, I have made the base of the box. Now I would do the same with the other square, but first, I opened a small hole in the middle and inserted fabric tape and inside, I glued it with liquid silicone. Now I cut the tabs.
Finally, what remains is to decorate the sides of the box. I had some decorative tape at home and that's what I used.
I had some decorative tape at home and that's what I used. You can put inside, tissue paper or whatever you want, and then place the chocolates or any knick-knacks you have. I had jute and that's what I used 😉.
It is definitely delightful to work on what we love. For me, recycling, giving life, a different touch to "old" things, is rewarding.
Thank you once again for coming to visit me.
Your always friend,
Tu siempre amiga,
