It's lovely to know that people still celebrate their past and keep up some of the traditions even when they move thousands of miles away. It certainly must have been ridiculously hard for people to leave their loved ones behind but you can understand why they did. Life must have been so hard.

Ancestry is a strange thing. I heard somewhere, some scientists believe that everyone alive today is related to the same 8 humans. Not sure I believe that...but its an interesting thought.
