Great theme this week. No relationship works without being able to trust one another.
I chose this Jazz classic 'My Baby Just Cares For Me'. It describes how the singer totally trusts the love from the man she's singing about. She has no doubt he only has eyes for her.
It was written by Walter Donaldson with lyrics by Gus Kahn for the film version of a musical comedy called 'Whoopee!' in 1930. American singer and songwriter Nina Simone recorded it in 1957 and her version was a surprise top 10 hit in the United Kingdom, after it was used in a perfume advert in 1987. This resulted in a re-emergence for the singer. I didn't know of her at all until I heard her version of this song.
I recorded everything you can hear in this song and used Logic Pro and iMovie to put it all together. Thank you so much for listening.
