Kids Space is a wonderful playground for children aged from 3 and a half until 10. They are all together sharing the same space and learning to live with each other. Our school teaches the old ones to take care of the little ones, to have patience with them. And like this, the little ones are having an example, they are much faster learning through imitating the big ones.
I have been waiting for my kid to turn 3, counting literally the days until she can join this amazing group where all the kids are happy. She went there a few months and has a lot of friends. She has been easily accepted, even if she barely speaks English or even if she is a baby in comparison to the old boys that have other activities. She was one of them.
What is amazing in this school is that before a new kid coming in, there is a meting and they ask the children if they want to enlarge their group. So, even if they are so young, they have a word to say. They take decisions. They take responsibility for their own actions. Which is great. Tell me another school where kids have so much freedom and responsibility.
Well, now is where the problems appear. The school has been on for 3 years now, the little kids that started now are big and even if in the beginning it was kind of a kindergarden, now the big ones still love it so much they want to continue. But this is not legal. In most European countries, there is obliged system school education since they are around 6... And home education is not so often happening and is hard to make it legal...
So now we are facing an issue... we need to close our school because the authorities are after us. and they want to send the kids in "proper" school with desks and chairs and homeworks and uniform and all the rest..
We will gonna have a parents meeting soon to see how it goes. Either we have to hide, either we have to close, either we have to become legal. I hope things will get clearer and i really hope for the "acceptance" by the system. But for this we need to buy land and house and so fort.. and it is very expensive for our budget...
Oh, this system telling us what to do with our children, which school to send them. The vaccines that we have o put inside their little bodies..
