It's been some time since I have last posted, but that does not mean I have been absent from cryptocurrency. During the recent hype surrounding Dogecoin, I decided to hop on the bandwagon and purchased over 10,000 shares of DOGE. At first, this not so small of an investment seemed promising. My excitement for a huge ROI was stemmed from reading various threads on Reddit about how Dogecoin would reach $1.00 overnight.
I spent almost that entire night checking my Robinhood, I was hoping for a whopping $10,000 ROI overnight. Waking up the next morning I realized, you cannot win them all... My investment was nearly cut in half throughout the next few days as the Dogecoin hype fell, and this is when I confirmed that buying DOGE was a very very bad decision.
If I had left my money in Bitcoin and continued to buy Bitcoin, my profits would have been favorable. I will no longer buy any Dogecoin after this experience, bitcoin will be my main priority.
