THE TRIANGULAR SLAVE TRADE: A WOUND THAT STILL BLEEDS; They didn’t just take our land. They didn’t just steal our resources.
They took our people. The Triangular Slave Trade was not trade, it was organized cruelty. From Europe to Africa, they came with guns, alcohol, and deception.

From Africa to the Americas, they carried chained human beings fathers, mothers, sons and daughters packed like cargo, crying in the dark of the ships, many never seeing land again. From the Americas back to Europe, they returned rich with sugar, cotton, coffee, and gold all produced by African blood, sweat, and tears. Africa lost over 12 million souls.

Villages were emptied. Families were shattered forever. Strong young men and women the backbone of the continent were dragged away. Those who survived the journey were forced to work, beaten, dehumanized, renamed, and told they were nothing. Yet even in chains, our ancestors resisted, prayed, sang, and survived. Europe became powerful. The Americas were built. And Africa was left bleeding, divided, weakened, and blamed for its own suffering.

This history matters because the pain did not end it changed form. Division, poverty, and exploitation today are echoes of yesterday’s chains. Let us remember: We were not weak, we were targeted. We were not inferior, we were feared. And we are not finished. When Africa remembers, Africa rises. When Africa unites, Africa becomes unstoppable.
