On this occasion, I went out for a night walk, making my way through different points of the city as the very last rays of sunlight faded from the sky. I spent the evening capturing the urban landscape from different perspectives: photographing the city from the heights of overpasses, framing the constant flow of highways below, capturing the shifting sky from the street level, and even wandering through the quiet, deserted old colonial streets wrapped in the silence of the night.
There is a fascinating transition that happens when the day completely surrenders to the dark. Moving from the elevated vantage points of bridges—where traffic lights streak across the asphalt—down into the ancient, narrow colonial alleys creates a stark contrast of eras and atmospheres. The old walls and worn-out corners take on a completely different character under the dim glow of public lighting, far away from the daytime rush.
Documenting these nocturnal shifts is one of my favorite ways to experience the city. It allows you to see the familiar streets through an entirely new lens, finding hidden textures and quiet corners that most people overlook. I hope these images convey a bit of that nocturnal journey and the unique mood of the city after dark.

En esta ocasión realicé una caminata nocturna pasando por distintos puntos de la ciudad, mientras las últimas luces del sol dejaban de iluminar el cielo. Me dediqué a capturar el paisaje urbano desde diferentes perspectivas: fotografiando la ciudad desde lo alto de los puentes, encuadrando el flujo constante de las autopistas, capturando el cielo desde las calles e incluso recorriendo las antiguas calles coloniales solitarias envueltas en el silencio de la noche.
Hay una transición fascinante que ocurre cuando el día se entrega por completo a la oscuridad. Pasar de los miradores elevados en los puentes —donde las luces del tráfico se extienden sobre el asfalto— a adentrarse en los callejones coloniales antiguos y estrechos crea un contraste muy marcado de épocas y atmósferas. Las paredes viejas y las esquinas desgastadas adquieren un carácter totalmente diferente bajo el tenue brillo del alumbrado público, muy lejos del bullicio diurno.
Documentar estos cambios nocturnos es una de mis formas favoritas de experimentar la ciudad. Te permite ver las calles conocidas a través de una lente completamente nueva, encontrando texturas ocultas y rincones tranquilos que la mayoría pasa por alto. Espero que estas imágenes transmitan un poco de ese recorrido nocturno y el ambiente único de la ciudad después del anochecer.
