Hello Hive Gamers! Today I bring you the fourth chapter of my campaign in Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. Continuing my progress through the campaign, today marked my 3rd consecutive day logging into the game, which means I secured some nice daily login rewards: a handful of coins and some battle records—an extremely useful item that allows me to increase the experience level and skills of my generals.

For today's session, I tackled the second stage of the first chapter: the historical scenario known as the "Preparation for the Battle of Narumi," where I once again take command of the Oda clan. By the way, one minor detail that I absolutely love about this game is that during the loading screens, it displays fascinating brief biographies of historical Japanese figures from the Sengoku Jidai era, adding a wonderful touch of historical flavor.

In this level, the Oda clan is tasked with holding out against the relentless, constant attacks of the Imagawa clan. Furthermore, this mission featured a quick tutorial explaining the nature of castles on the campaign map, teaching me that I can upgrade them to unlock various strategic bonuses and defensive advantages. It is a fantastic mechanic, and I genuinely love all the fine details packed into this game.

The core objectives for this match are twofold: survive and hold key clan castles for 8 turns, while the secondary objective requires me to upgrade a castle 3 times. At the start, I only directly controlled the Oda castle in the northwest, while a secondary castle to the southeast was under the control of AI-controlled NPCs.

Even though I had fewer individual units to command directly, this did not make the mission any easier. The Imagawa troops launched fierce, aggressive assaults from the south. I immediately deployed my tried-and-true tactic of isolating and surrounding enemy units one by one, concentrating the full might of my army to crush them. However, the Imagawa forces are packing serious heat this time: they boast a massive number of archers and a terrifying elite samurai unit whose raw strength and numbers are completely overwhelming. To make matters worse, these enemy troops seem determined to bypass my field army entirely, attempting to outflank and surround my positions just to capture the castle. I need to tread very carefully!

¡Hola Gamers de Hive! Hoy les traigo el cuarto capítulo de mi campaña en Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. Continuando con el avance de la campaña, hoy se cumple mi tercer día consecutivo iniciando sesión, por lo que obtuve como recompensas algunas monedas y expedientes de batalla, siendo este último un objeto sumamente útil que me permite aumentar la experiencia de los generales.

En esta ocasión me tocó jugar el segundo nivel del primer capítulo, que corresponde a la "Preparación para la batalla de Narumi", donde nuevamente controlo al clan Oda. Por cierto, un detalle que amo profundamente de este juego es que en las pantallas de carga aparecen breves biografías de personajes históricos de Japón de la era Sengoku, lo cual le da un toque cultural e histórico increíble.

En este nivel, el clan Oda sigue resistiendo los constantes y feroces ataques del clan Imagawa. Sin embargo, en esta partida se incorporó un breve tutorial que explicaba la naturaleza de los castillos en los mapas y cómo se pueden mejorar para disfrutar de distintos bonos estratégicos. ¡Nada mal la verdad! Adoro todos los pequeños detalles de este título.

Los objetivos en esta partida son: aguantar 8 turnos controlando los castillos clave del clan y, como objetivo secundario, mejorar el castillo 3 veces. Aunque al principio solo controlaba directamente el castillo del clan Oda al noroeste, el castillo al sureste estaba bajo el control de aliados manejados por la inteligencia artificial.

A pesar de tener que gestionar un número menor de unidades propias, esto no convirtió la misión en una tarea sencilla. Las tropas del clan Imagawa atacaban con muchísima fuerza desde el sur. Empecé a poner en marcha mi táctica habitual de rodear a una sola unidad a la vez para eliminarlas concentrando toda la fuerza de mi ejército. No obstante, las tropas enemigas cuentan con muchísimos arqueros y una unidad de samuráis de élite cuya fuerza y número son verdaderamente abrumadores. Por si fuera poco, todas estas unidades parecen tener la clara intención de ignorar a mi ejército para rodearlo y capturar directamente el castillo. ¡Debo tener muchísimo cuidado!
