Hello Hive Gamers! Today I bring you the twenty-third chapter of my campaign in Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. In this session, I finally launched a decisive and crushing assault against the fortress of South Shinano!

Continuing with the bitter battle for Shinano, I decided to deliver a heavy thrust against the Nagao clan's forces. Using my cavalry, I managed to heavily weaken a rival cavalry unit, while two of my katana samurai infantry units successfully wiped out the enemy horsemen defending the castle gates. By the very next turn, I marched right in and captured the castle—which only had a minimal defensive garrison left—finally securing the province of South Shinano for my clan! Once the stronghold was safely in my hands, I used my accumulated resources to tear down a useless defensive turret to the south and constructed a brand-new cannon turret in its place. Working in tandem with an existing crossbow turret, these fortifications began bombarding the remaining enemy units without pause. Furthermore, my archers and spearmen reinforcements have finally arrived in the province and will be fully ready to assist me in expanding the war against the Nagao clan within a turn or two.

Meanwhile, I had to deal with the nagging issue of the Asai clan declaring war on me. To address this new threat before they could gain any momentum or tactical advantage, I recruited several fresh units of archers, cavalry, and Yari samurai, immediately ordering them to march straight into enemy territory to launch a proactive strike!

¡Hola Gamers de Hive! Hoy les traigo el vigésimo tercer capítulo de mi campaña en Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. ¡En esta ocasión lancé un ataque definitivo y contundente en contra del castillo de Shinano del Sur!

Continuando con la dura batalla por Shinano, decidí asestar una buena estocada contra las tropas del clan Nagao. Con mi caballería debilitamos a otra unidad de jinetes rivales, mientras que la caballería que defendía el castillo fue completamente aniquilada gracias a la acción combinada de dos unidades de infantería samurái con katana. Al turno siguiente, tomé el castillo —que apenas contaba con una guarnición defensiva menor— y me hice oficialmente con la provincia de Shinano del Sur. Una vez con la fortaleza bajo mi control, utilicé mis recursos para destruir una torreta defensiva inservible al sur y edifiqué en su lugar una torreta con cañón; junto con otra torreta de ballesta existente, comenzaron a atacar sin descanso a las unidades enemigas restantes. Además, mis refuerzos de arqueros y lanceros ya arribaron a la provincia y podrán asistirme en la ofensiva contra el clan Nagao en uno o dos turnos.

Por otro lado, como el clan Asai me había declarado la guerra, tocaba atender ese asunto antes de que se convirtiera en un dolor de cabeza mayor. Recluté varias unidades de arqueros, caballería y samuráis Yari para dirigirlas de inmediato hacia el territorio enemigo y lanzar un ataque preventivo antes de que el clan Asai pueda tomar ventaja.
