Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying every battle in Splinterlands. Today I’d like to introduce you to an interesting and strategically significant card Ruckus Rootpaw. It is a Common earth/dragon monster with a mana cost of just 4. At first glance the card might seem ordinary since it lacks any inherent attack power however its true strength lies in its defensive abilities and its capacity to create opportunities for other monsters on your team.

Starting at level 1 it possesses the decoy ability. This allows it to draw the focus of certain enemy attacks effectively shielding other more critical monsters on your team from harm. Getting such a defensive monster for only 4 mana is a great deal. At level 1, it boasts 2 speed, 4 armor and 5 health the 4 armor in particular provides a distinct advantage when dealing with physical attacks.

Another great aspect of this card is that its abilities become even more compelling as it levels up. At level 3 it gains weaken which reduces the maximum health of all enemy monsters. At level 5 it acquires martyr when this card is defeated adjacent friendly monsters receive a boost to their stats. At level 8 it gains shield ward which grants a shield to the monster positioned in front of it at the start of the battle. Finally at the maximum level it gains void armor forcing magic attacks to strike its armor instead of its health.

To me its greatest strength is the ability to provide multiple defensive benefits for the team at a low mana cost. Furthermore if placed next to a monster with the weapons training ability it can even gain attack power allowing it to contribute to the offense when needed rather than serving solely as a defender.

That said it does have some drawbacks. At level 1 it has no attack making it ineffective at dealing direct damage. To fully unlock its potential a higher level and the right team composition are essential. Moreover armor alone is not always sufficient protection against magic attacks and various special abilities.

All in all this is a card that shouldn't be judged solely by its attack power. When placed in the right position and used within a suitable team it can play a crucial role in a battle. If you have used this card don't forget to share your experience in the comments. Thank you all very much for reading today's post.
