A few years ago, I was very obsessed with dreams and my lucidity in them. Around then was when I had my first random lucid dream by accident but after that I started focusing more deliberate intention on it.
I'm this first lucid dream I had, me and my sister were suddenly outdoors somewhere and she was telling me to hurry up because we were late for work. I immediately got the sense that this world and situation weren't really, however, something inside instinctively told me not to blurt that out. I tried to imply it by telling my sister in a hushed voice, "We don't have to hurry!" Has anyone ever seen the film Inception ? Because immediately after I said that, all the other random "people" in the dream setting almost stopped what they were doing and turned to look at me.
In the film, the other 'characters' in the dream turn into a hostile mob that chases down and tries to destroy those that 'do not belong in the dream'. This has happened to me before. They are lucid nightmares. I used to think the dream-projected people were part of us. Maybe they are facets of our subconscious. Someone told me they are all faces we've actually seen before because apparently the brain cannot create a new face from nothing. Some of these sound convincing but I also get the feeling that these might be real beings in some alternate dimension or form of reality. Why is there 'dream etiquette'? The people there are suggestible but they can take offense. It adds another layer to an already very interesting topic. I should start dream journaling again.
One final note about flying, I always try but I can never get it right. Flying is hard! At best, I can perform these massive Hulk jumps or glide slowly. Some say the Superman fist works. I've had better liftoff when I spread my arms out and run down a long runway, like a big goose. I think it's a willpower issue. I guess I wouldn't be a very good Green Lantern.

Looking forward to the rest of your journey.
