I agree with your view on our niche or really the intentional lack of one. POB was designed as a general topic tribe so we don't really have a niche, except to have high quality engaging content because it was curated by real humans with brains. That doesn't mean we can't decide to also support certain tags that could eventually turn into communities within the community. I'm not sure how all that will play out yet, but I don't think the general topic thing will go away, as that is part of what makes it all work imo. I think competition for attention is important and I think we are doing well in this category, while also benefiting through cooperation in the use of multiple tags to send posts to multiple front ends.
